When Nintendo announced last year that the company will be releasing a new gaming system, fans were excited about the development. However, outside of the announcement, Nintendo did not give out any details or clues on when the new system will be out in the market, even a general release period.

There are speculations that Nintendo is looking to unveil the new NX system this year, possibly in June, at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The annual event, while showcasing different tech industry achievements, has been saturated with major announcements and reveals from the gaming industry.

The upcoming E3 is slated for June 14 to 16 in Los Angeles, California

According to Express UK, a recent quarterly results conference may have inadvertently revealed some details about the upcoming Nintendo NX. Reportedly, Macronix International, one of Nintendo's suppliers, said that the company will be supplying new memory slots for Nintendo NX this year.

Meanwhile, the industry follower also mentioned that should the slip-up be true, it may mean that the Nintendo NX will have some handheld system features, since Macronix International supplies the memory slots for Nintendo's DS and 3DS handheld gaming systems.

Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima himself may have also accidentally hinted at when fans can expect the Nintendo NX. According to WiiUDaily, Kimishima recently spoke to company investors about Nintendo's plans for 2016 and beyond. Reportedly, the Nintendo president is eyeing the NX as one area of business achievement for this year.

Kimishima said, "The question was to pick one area with which we will be able to achieve Nintendo-like profits, but I would like to suggest two areas. One area is our NX business, and another is our business for smart devices. I believe that keeping these two endeavors on track will be key to achieving Nintendo-like profits."
