New amiibo wave to come out next month, Greninja and Jigglypuff figurines to be restocked

 Target/Toys R Us

In order to get much-coveted amiibo toys, gamers and avid collectors must be extremely quick in clicking items online and placing orders. Those who aren't fast enough need to wait for retailers to put the figurine up on sale again, which, of course, may or may not happen. Thankfully, there is still another chance to grab a Greninja or a Jigglypuff amiibo, which was sold out recently mere minutes after they were made available for pre-order.

The latter is an exclusive to Toys "R" Us and there are no more chances to get one from behind a computer monitor. Gamers who want to get the model of the blue frog-like Pokémon will have to wait until April 27 to snag it. Speaking of waiting, they have to wait in line in physical stores to get one.

Meanwhile, for those who were unable to secure a Jigglypuff amiibo from Target, the retailer will be making the figurine of the balloon-like Pokémon available again on May 29, both online and in retail stores. Those who were able to pre-order it can expect it on their doorstep by that same date.

On the other hand, there is still no word from GameStop regarding possible restocks of the Ness amiibo, whose pre-order stock also ran out in the twinkling of an eye. There is news, though, about the upcoming amiibo wave, which includes Robin, Lucina, Wario, Pac-Man, Charizard and yes, Ness.

The new wave will be hitting GameStop shelves come May, and since May 29 proves very eventful for Nintendo, it looks like that will be the same date gamers will be able to see this new batch in the flesh.

Nintendo also revealed a new "Splatoon" amiibo wave, which is inspired by its upcoming third-person shooter of the same name. The game will be out on May 29 along with three figurines of an Inkling girl, an Inkling boy and an Inkling Squid straight from the title.
