'Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' DLC: Hokage Naruto, adult Sasuke as post-launch content?

The targeted release date of "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is fast approaching. However, fans are also excited for the content of the game, as the final chapter for the series might still have some interesting post-launch DLC.

According to Saiyan Island, new scans circulating online show the two adult versions of the main protagonists of the original manga series battling it out with their children. The industry follower added that the word "DLC" was splashed on the page, hinting that the two characters might come as post-launch content.

Attack of the Fanboy added that if the rumors are true, then developer CyberConnect2 continues to pick up new but relevant material to the title. Naruto the Seventh Hokage and the adult Sasuke were featured in the most recent franchise movie, "Boruto: Naruto the Movie," which came out in August last year.

The industry observer also mentioned that these two being DLC characters for post-launch expansion is plausible since the original storyline for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" only covers the Fourth Ninja War and final chapters in the original manga adaptation. As such, the title is also deemed to be the last game in the "Ultimate Ninja Storm" series.

In addition, the two new characters as DLC will closely match that of their children, as Boruto and Sarada are only available as bonus and pre-order items.

"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is set to release early next month in a staggered rollout. Fans in Japan will be the first to experience the full version, with a February 4 release. Meanwhile, the title will get to Western shores on Feb. 5 in Europe and North and Latin America on Feb. 9.

"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" will release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
