"Mortal Kombat X," the upcoming 2015 fighting video game being developed by NetherRealm Studios and High Voltage Software for all platforms, just might feature micro transactions.

According to NetherRealm Studios marketing manager Brian Goodman, the company is not yet prepared to incorporate the use of micro transactions in the game. While speaking with IGN, Goodman stated that "We are not releasing any details on that yet," and that there is "Nothing to say about micro transactions yet." Still, there is a possibility that the feature would be assimilated in the game in the near future.

If micro transactions is not to be included in the one-on-one brawler title, then the manager would not hesitate to say no, but the fact that his reply has a certain degree of ambiguity suggests that micro transactions just might be incorporated in the upcoming game although not immediately. In the previous titles, players could visit a Krypt section to purchase add-ons ranging from costumes, unlock different characters and more using the in-game currency feature.

NetherRealm Studios is working on releasing the PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows and Xbox One editions of the game while High Voltage Software is working on porting the title to the previous generation consoles. The game is expected to run at a resolution of 1080p and will feature a maximum frame rate count of 60 FPS on consoles

The title uses Unreal Engine 4, which boasts impressive visuals. The upcoming 2015 fighting title "Tekken 7" is made using the same engine. There are rumors that there is also going to be an online feature where cross platform players will be able to compete with each other in online battles.

The game is expected to be released on April 14.
