The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is yet to be officially announced, but it is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Microsoft event scheduled on Oct. 26. If the device is not released during the said event, it may be pushed back to November this year or in early 2017.

Given that this is going to be the next iteration of Microsoft's flagship tablets, it is expected to come with the most high-end specs possible. According to the iTech Post, the Surface Pro 5 may even come with the new Kaby Lake processor from Intel. It will also reportedly have 16 GB RAM, making it the fastest and most powerful tablet thus far.

With all that power, the Surface Pro 5 is going to have to include new features that previous models could not support. It is further stated that the tablet is expected to come with a powerful 4K display that is at least 3,840 pixels wide. It is also expected to have a new feature that allows consumers to wirelessly charge their Surface Pen by magnetically placing it on the Surface Pro 5.

Just like the iPhone 7 from Microsoft's competitor, Apple, the Surface Pro may no longer feature a USB 3.0 port, and instead, it will come with a USB Type-C port that will replace several traditional ports. This will allow faster charging and faster data transfers.

It will also reportedly feature a brand new type of camera, although the exact details and specs are yet to be released.

According to the report, the Surface Pro 5 is expected to cost $899 for the base model, and the cost will go higher depending on the specs that the consumer chooses. This is based on the prices of previous Surface Pro models and the general pricing methods.

It is important to note that Microsoft has not officially revealed the specs, price, or release date of the Surface Pro 5 as of writing.
