There is great anticipation that the new devices set to debut at the Oct. 6 New York event to be hosted by Microsoft will include the Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
But the thing is, there is chance that Microsoft will unveil two versions of the said device.
The Surface Pro 3 successor is believed to be smaller, thinner, and lighter with some bezels on the side. Other than that, there will reportedly be two variants coming out, one with a 12-inch and the other a 14-inch screen display.
Aside from that, other features that the Surface Pro 4 will be carrying reportedly include a 6th generation Intel Skylake Core processor, up to 16 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard disk drive to hold files and needed apps.
Other things worth noting about the Surface Pro 4 include Windows Hello support and a fingerprint scanner as well.
A separate report from Arabic site W4phub claims that the display will change its size to 13-inches once a keyboard is attached. Everyone is perhaps familiar by now that a keyboard can be easily attached or detached from the Surface Pro tablet, allowing it to become a laptop or a tablet — the reason why some call it a laplet.
With the keyboard attached, such will likely shut off some pixels at the sides of the display, something that should facilitate the transition between varied screen sizes.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is expected to join other devices expected to be introduced at the said event. Other devices expected to come out include the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, and the Microsoft Band 2.
From the looks of it, it may be matter of verifying whether or not the Surface Pro 4 will indeed come in varying screen sizes. Based on the various reports, the only thing certain is perhaps that it will come with a display no smaller than 12 inches.
