Microsoft Surface Phone release date, specs, rumors: Device to make its first appearance at Oct. 26 event?

The Microsoft Surface Phone is one of the most highly anticipated devices that hasn't even been unveiled yet. Microsoft has yet to even confirm that they are indeed working on it, but speculations continue to spread, particularly a rumor suggesting that it is going to launch during the company's upcoming hardware event this Oct. 26.

This is the most likely time that Microsoft would be unveiling the Surface Phone as they are also going to unveil several new hardware devices. It is speculated this will be the period they unveil a successor to the new Surface Book 2 as well as a new Surface Pro.

According to a report from iTech Post, there might be three variants of the phone, and they may also be Continuum-enabled. Given that they will be the first phone designed in-house solely by Microsoft, contrary to their previous Lumia phones which were co-developed by Nokia, they are also likely to be powerful, and they might be able to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the iPhone 7.

PC Advisor states that the Surface Phone might feature a 4 GB RAM and that will have either 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage, which can then be expanded with a microSD card. It is expected to feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display, a 21 MP rear-facing camera, and an 8 MP front-facing camera.

The report also states that it may feature a smaller version of the Surface Pen, along with a USB Type-C port. However, the port may not replace the 3.5mm earphone jack in the way that it had for the iPhone 7. Instead, the two ports will both likely be available on the device.

However, the report does state that there are inconsistencies with some of the rumors, such as some speculations suggesting it will feature the yet-unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor along with 512 GB of internal storage.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
