The good news is that Chris Bosh is reportedly up and about and looks ready for the 2015-16 NBA season.
Bosh was spotted with the Heat coaching staff and some of his Heat teammates (James Ennis, Shabazz Napier, Hassan Whiteside and Zoran Dragic). It was the first time that Bosh has participated in basketball activities since being sidelined last February due to blood clots on his lungs.
The Miami Heat center-forward has just returned from a recent break in South America and seems to be raring to play once more. In fact, he is looking forward to teaming up with Goran Dragic and pal Dwyane Wade. That is if they are still around.
Dragic can opt out after this season though the Slovenian guard has already said that he is happy in Miami. Chances are that Dragic will be offered a max contract which could seal his stay in South Beach.
As for Wade, it is believed that the man known as The Flash will test free agency. This means he will be opting out of his contract worth $16 million as he looks for a longer deal with security in mind.
Even though Wade is opting out, it doesn't mean he is going somewhere else. The Heat can offer him another contract and the dispute right now is longevity which the Heat bosses are reportedly not too keen on giving.
Hence, Wade could be listening to other teams in the off season, the same route that Lebron James last year. Unlike James however, Wade has played for Miami since he started playing professional ball so it will be interesting to see if any team would give in to his demands.
The only thing certain right now is that Bosh seems to be aching to take the floor once more which should be good news to the Heat. It remains to be seen if he and Wade would talk about the latter's options this free agency, something which could convince Wade to stay on and help the franchise recover lost ground after a forgettable NBA season.
