The launch of "Metal Gear Online" was problematic to say the least, and now, Konami is attempting to make up for it.

Konami has already issued an apology for the problems that plagued the launch of "Metal Gear Solid 5's" online companion. The company apologized for the numerous issues that troubled the game, including connectivity problems and also general instability as it relates to "Metal Gear Online's" dedicated servers.

Konami has also announced that the service for "Metal Gear Online" is now "stable," Eurogamer reported. The company has also promised that more improvements will be made to the game moving forward, although they did not provide specific details as to what these would be.

Still, some players have expressed frustration over the flawed online companion of "Metal Gear Solid 5," even suggesting that the game itself may not have gotten reviews as favorable as it has now had "Metal Gear Online" been available from day one, according to PlayStation Lifestyle.

With plenty of fans still upset about the troubled start of "Metal Gear Online," Konami has also decided to extend a peace offering by offering some bonuses for the online mode.

First off, players will be receiving 3,000 GP right from the start when they play "Metal Gear Online," according to Polygon. GP is the game's currency, so this should provide players with a nice, little headstart in "Metal Gear Online."

Aside from the free game money, Konami has also announced that they will be extending the double experience promotion for the game. Previously, the double experience promotion was only scheduled to run for two weeks, but Konami has now tacked on an extra week.

The double experience bonus can be attained through the use of a promotional code. Players who may have used the code ahead of the announcement will still be getting double the experience points for three weeks.
