"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is about to make its debut in a few months, and BioWare has started to release more details about the upcoming title. While fans know that the game's protagonist won't be Commander Shepard from the original trilogy, the title will also be different from the original games as not all races from the trilogy will appear in "Andromeda."

Creative director Mac Walters recently spoke with Game Informer and confirmed while not all of the alien races will be seen in "Mass Effect: Andromeda," they could show up in upcoming installments.

"We've designed the IP in such a way that they can all show up," said Walters. "For hopefully obvious reasons, they're not all going to show up in the first game."

In the original "Mass Effect" games, it was revealed that the Milky Way is populated with dozens of alien races. Apart from the Citadel races which include Humans, Asari, and Salarians, among others, there's also the Non-Citadel races, Historical races, Non-sapient creatures, and other creatures.

It was previously reported that the human Ryder siblings will have four squadmates, and their names are Liam, Cora, Peebee, and Drack. Peebee is an Asari, while Liam and Cora are humans. Drack is said to be a Krogan, and the Krogans are part of the Non-Citadel race.

The Asaris are known for their elegance, diplomacy, and biotic aptitude, which make Peebee a very important member of the squad. They are a mono-gender race and are distinctly female in appearance. Meanwhile, the Krogan are a species of reptilian bipeds that are difficult to kill. When they go into a blood rage, they become immune to pain and will fight to the death regardless of injury level, which will make Drack an excellent protector of the squad.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be available in March 2017 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
