Fans were ecstatic when they learned at last year's E3 conference that there will be a new "Mass Effect" game coming out. However, after the announcement, publisher Electronic Arts and developer BioWare managed to remain silent on the title's development, and no confirmed leaks and information about the upcoming "Mass Effect: Andromeda" came out.

However, just recently, it was confirmed that the upcoming game is already in a playable state, and this might mean that the title is already nearing its final version set for release.

According to Dual Shockers, BioWare lead producer Cameron Lee recently tweeted that he played an hour of "Mass Effect Andromeda." The industry follower said that this was not a test, but rather a full-blown game playing, since Lee is not a part of the "Mass Effect" team and is instead working on another, as-yet-unannounced new IP.

The report captured a series of Lee's tweets answering queries from fans, although he kept his answers short so that there won't be any "mishaps" and inadvertent detail leaks. However, some of his tweets confirm a number of things. According to GameSpot, it is now confirmed that there will be a PC version of "Mass Effect: Andromeda," based on Lee's tweet that "I almost tweeted a picture of the executable too, but that would have given away its old code name."

PC versions of game titles use executables as part of their codes.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be the fourth title in the franchise. However, BioWare already said that this will be a different title from the previous versions, not just in story and design but in overall gameplay. One of the confirmed details of the upcoming game is that it will feature a new storyline complete with a new set of characters, plus a new main protagonist (Commander Shepard will not be returning for this title).
