Margot Robbie to appear in multiple 'Harley Quinn' movies

Actress Margot Robbie will reportedly appear in another "Harley Quinn" movie aside from the three others that have been written about since last year.

In a recent interview with MTV, Robbie told the reporter that she is currently working on a movie where she will play the DC Comics character Harley Quinn once again. "I've been working on it for two years now. I mean, it's kind of hard to talk about it because all this stuff is kind of under lock and key. But yeah, I've been working on a separate spinoff for 'Harley Quinn' for a while now," she expressed. This would mean that Robbie will reportedly appear in four movies which Harley Quinn will be a part of in the future.

First of the films is "Gotham City Sirens" which was announced in December 2016. This movie will supposedly feature the three main female villains Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn which will be reprised by Robbie. Director David Ayer is locked to work on this film which does not have a release date yet. The next movie is "Suicide Squad 2" which is the sequel to the first successful film in which Robbie's Harley Quinn was a standout. Robbie will be back for the upcoming installment, which is set for a 2019 release.

The third movie is a romantic comedy between Harley Quinn and Joker which was announced this year. It will be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa and is set to arrive in 2020. Robbie and Jared Leto will reportedly star in the picture.

With all these films currently in the pipeline, Robbie said earnestly, "I honestly don't think anyone knows what is going to be the next thing to happen."

Robbie will appear next in "I, Tonya" which will hit theaters nationwide on Friday, Dec. 8.
