Lamar Odom, who is currently fighting for his life after being found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada, has two living children with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales - Destiny and Lamar Jr. The former couple also had a third child, son Jayden, who tragically died of SIDS in June 2006.

Morales, who dated Odom since high school, previously told the Daily Beast: "Lamar and I never really talked about our loss, which I know wasn't healthy and also meant our relationship would never last. It couldn't. I found out soon after that he'd had a long-term relationship with another woman—a relationship he said he'd end but he didn't—and that was that."

However, after their son's death, they soon split and Odom went on to date and marry Khloe Kardashian. At that time, Morales posted an open letter about her feelings when she heard that he was getting married. "I don't think I'll forget the tight knot I felt in the pit of my stomach the morning I received the text message with three simple words on the screen. It read "I'm getting married" and it was from the man I'd spent more than 10 years of my life with. Years that included us getting engaged in 2000 and becoming parents to one daughter and two sons. Yet not long after our separation Lamar Odom was getting married to Khloe Kardashian, a woman he'd met four weeks before. How could the man who'd constantly given me reason after reason for why we couldn't get married just yet now be ready to tie the knot so quickly? There aren't words to explain how I felt that day."

The Former NBA star was hospitalized on Tuesday after he was found unresponsive. The 35-year-old  ex-husband of reality television personality Khloe Kardashian, suffered a "medical emergency" at the Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada, about 80 miles (50 kms) northwest of Las Vegas, the Nye County Sheriff's Office said in media release.

Odom was stabilized at the scene and was prepared to be airlifted to a Las Vegas-area hospital, but the "stature" of the basketball player made it impossible to transport him by helicopter, the release said.

Odom, whose career in the NBA included seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks, stands 6 feet 10 inches (2.08 meters) tall.

The sheriff's office said an investigation was being conducted and gave no further details about Odom's condition or what caused the emergency.

A call to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, where Odom was being treated, was not immediately returned.

The celebrity website TMZ reported that Odom had been at the brothel for days and a woman there found him unconscious in his VIP suite.

Meanwhile, the entire LA Lakers team led prayers for their former teammate.

Dwyane Tyrone Wade Jr tweeted: "Prayers all the way UP for my brother Lamar Odom." He continued, "I can't help but to be up right now. Thinking about my ex teammate/ friend LO. On my knees praying... please God let him pull thru."

Assistant Lakers coach Mark Madsen tweeted: "Thoughts and prayers with Lamar Odom – everyone on the team plane thinking, praying and pulling for well being."

Caron Butler also tweeted: "Praying for you LO"

The LA Lakers also released a statement saying they had no other information.
