A month after giving birth to her daughter Princess Charlotte, Kate Middleton was spotted over the weekend playing with her 22-month old son, Prince George, at Holland Park.
According to People, the Duchess of Cambridge was seen entertaining her toddler at the park, which is a 10-minute drive from the family's residence at Kensington Palace. Eyewitnesses told the magazine that the 33-year old royal was chasing her son around the park, a 22-hectare public park situated in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, which is considered as one of the most beautiful and peaceful parks in London.
"It looked like she was pretending to be a monster, flailing her arms about and chasing him," an onlooker told People.
Another eyewitness said that the duchess was play-acting "just like all mums do" and that Prince George was running around and loving it. "He looked very happy."
The source added that mother and son were dressed in matching outfits, saying, "They had matching waxed-green coats on, similar to a Regatta, and dark jeans with boots."
One onlooker said that the Prince looked happy being chased by his mum and enjoying the swings, slides, and other rides at the park and that they looked just like any other mother and toddler. The observer also said that the duchess appeared to be well-rested and that both mother and son "looked really well."
This was the duchess' first public sighting since welcoming Princess Charlotte on May 2. Although she is still on maternity leave, royal watchers are expecting to see her at Trooping the Color on June 13. It is unlikely that her baby daughter will make an appearance at the event, but there are rumors that there will be a balcony appearance with Prince George. There is also a possibility that the duchess will attend the annual Order of the Garter on June 15.
