Kate Middleton pregnancy rumors: Duchess could be pregnant with third child?

Is Kate Middleton pregnant with her third child?

The Duchess of Cambridge was absent from a wedding she was supposed to attend earlier this month, and many were wondering where the young royal may be as Prince William showed up without his wife at Bear Maclean and Daisy Dickson's wedding.

"The names William and Catherine Wales were written on the plan, which appeared on an antique-looking mirror," said a source to the Daily Mail.

The insider added that the couple was supposed to sit at the main table. The website reports that Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton, turned up at the event with the Prince instead.

Now, Star magazine claims that she may have a good reason for missing the event as she is allegedly pregnant with her third child. A source told the magazine that the duchess is in the early stages of her third pregnancy and that "she's not taking any chances." The insider reportedly said that the Queen gave her her blessing to not make an appearance at official engagements for at least two months, "until she overcomes the treat of sickness."

The duchess has suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, or severe morning sickness, during her pregnancies with two year-old Prince George and with Princess Charlotte, who was born last May.

The source added that because of the duchess' alleged condition, Prince William decided that his wife should rest "so Kate rested at home and spent her day relaxing and playing with George and Charlotte."

Star claims that the duchess is due in late April or early May. The report has yet to be confirmed or denied by a representative from the royal family.

Meanwhile, the Daily Beast has offered an explanation for the duchess' absence from Mclean and Dickson's wedding. Sources told the website that the royal is doing fine and despite what some media outlets have claimed, she is doing well and is "not ready to return to the hectic whirl of her pre-pregnancy life just yet."
