The Astros will be looking to progress to the AL Championship Series today with another victory over Kansas City. Houston will be sending Lance McCullers out to the mound as their starter for this Columbus Day game. This season he was 6-7 with a 3.22 ERA and 129 strikeouts.

The right-handed pitcher has already faced the Royals once this season, and allowing four hits off his seven innings of one-run ball, as well as striking out six. That was back in June, and the Astros will be hoping he can do the business for them again today.

Meanwhile the Royals have opted for Yordano Ventura as their starting pitcher. He had a season record of 13-8 with a 4.08 ERA and 156 SO's.

Ventura of course was here for Game 1, which had its start shortened by rain, so he only pitched two innings. That has allowed the Royals to put him out front again today, although he will be hoping for more success, after allowing three runs on four hits in Thursday's 5-2 loss for Kansas City.
