Country artist Rory Feek continues to share a health update on his wife, Joey, who said that "she's ready to come home" to Jesus.

On Saturday, Jan. 9, Rory posted on his blog, "This Life I Live" how Joey's pain has intensified daily, which resulted to an increase in the dosage of her morphine to ease the feeling.

"The dosage she's needed to keep the pain away has quadrupled in the last four days," Joey's 49-year-old husband wrote. "I'd like to tell you that she's doing great and is going to beat this thing.  But I can't."

Rory added that Joey told him she's "been having serious talks with Jesus."

"She said she told him that if He's ready to take her… she's ready to come home," Rory penned.

The country artist also shared the story behind one song that their friend, Sandy Lawrence, had written. The song was dedicated to Lawrence's mom, who passed away.

Both Joey and Rory fell in love with the song, titled "When I'm Gone" that they decided to include it in their album, "Hymns That Are Important To Us," which will be released in February.

The couple even shot a video for the song at their farm in 2012. But Rory recalled that a couple of hours before shooting the project, he was told to act as if he had just lost someone and Joey is singing to him.

Initially, Rory didn't like the idea but realized that it was necessary to make the song compelling.

The blog post also featured the music video for "When I'm Gone," which featured an emotional Rory on the farm with a canine companion, while Joey sings with Lawrence in the background, playing the piano.

Rory then wrote that their "'make-believe' song and video seems to be coming true," which some people considered as "life imitating art."

Rory ends the post by describing that the song is special for both of them as it is "filled with hope and love" and may have the capability to heal millions of hearts of those who have lost loved ones, including his.
