Jeremy Lin trade rumors: dynamic player could end up as starting point guard for Chicago Bulls

Jeremy Lin has been a valuable player since he came to the Charlotte Hornets and the team has started well in the Eastern Conference, until lately. The Michael Jordan-owned team dropped their position in the standings.

Although the season is still far from over, they are no longer in the playoff contention. It may be hard for Hornets to climb their way back to the standing if they keep on losing games, while the other teams in the Eastern conference are racking up wins.

But on Wednesday, the Chinese-American scored 19 points in Hornets' impressive win against a top team, Atlanta Hawks, CBS Sports reported.

Lin has been outstanding in the past 15 games, averaging over 15 points in a 45.9 shooting percentage, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists.

Despite all the numbers Lin is showing this season, trade rumors are circulating that he will be going to Chicago Bulls. However, this could be good for the 27-year-old star because he will be replacing Derrick Rose as the starting point guard for the team, according to a report by Youth Health Mag.

Not only will it give Lin a great opportunity to play as a starting guard, but he will also be joining a team that's been doing really well this season. The Bulls are number three in the Eastern Conference standing and it appears that they are heading into another playoffs season.

If the speculations are true, the Bulls will most likely be a contender in the Eastern Conference Finals and get another chance to avenge their loss to LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers last year.

Lin will certainly provide good numbers for the Bulls. Nevertheless, there are still no official announcements from both the Hornets and the Bulls with regard to the matter.

Lin has played with different teams after being traded multiple times in his young career. Having made a name in the league in 2011 playing for the New York Knicks, his season with the Hornets has proven to be the best so far.
