iOS 9 release date coming soon as system spotted on iPhone 6 for testing

 iOS9updates

The release of iOS 9 may come soon as the latest version of the operating system was spotted in the iPhone 6.

To fuel the suspicions of Apple users that the iOS 9 is in the midst of testing, GSMArena reported that the software appeared in a benchmark listing on the Basemark OS II database. The benchmark showed the numbers resulting from the testing of the firmware. According to the results, the new operating system is at the same level of the iOS 8 apart from the web score, which is 17 percent higher.

This hinted that the software is undergoing various testing before its official roll out. The results will most likely change until the developers perfect the features of the software.

Earlier reports claimed that Apple is working on iOS 9 as rumors suggested that Apple will release iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, which will pack twice the RAM than the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This significant update in the hardware of the smartphones will have concurrent effects on the iOS.

If Apple will keep up with its original timeline, there is a big chance that the software is already under development and will be announced in June at the tech giant's annual Worldwide Developers' Conference 2015.

As of now, Apple is tight lipped regarding the new operating system and is probably saving the juicy details for its keynote in the aforementioned event. However, predictions claimed that Apple will most likely open the Apple Pay or the NFC chip to developers, to allow them to use the features in their respective apps, just like what it did to the TouchID fingerprint sensor.

In the meantime, Apple just rolled out the iOS 8.1.3 update that reportedly killed the infamous TaiG jailbreak. Moreover, the update brings forth minor updates on the stability and performance of the device.
