iOS 9.2 jailbreak already on its way?

Fans who are waiting patiently for a jailbreak version of the latest iOS might not have that long to wait. Rumor has it that an iOS 9.2 jailbreak version is well on its way for download soon.

According to a tech blog, a partner jailbreak team of TaiG posted online about possible developments of an iOS 9.2 jailbreak version. The report mentioned that 3K Assistant officially announced on China's social media website Weibo that a new jailbreak version based on Apple's recently released iOS 9.2 build is currently being worked on.

In addition, the development seems to be already in its final stages as 3K Assistant reportedly added that an iOS 9.2 jailbreak version is "coming soon."

3K Assistant worked on pre-iOS 9 jailbreak versions and is a partner to TaiG and other major jailbreak teams.

The blog mentioned that aside from the Weibo announcement, a new post on Kuaiyong that the imminent release of a new iOS 9.2 jailbreak version is due to a breakthrough by 3K Assistant. The post added that hopefully, a complete jailbreak version "in the very near future, iOS 9.2 untethered jailbreak will be presented..."

The news that an official jailbreak version of iOS 9.2 is on its way is a relief to many Apple mobile device users. According to Redmond Pie, the Cupertino-based company has made it official to stop digitally signing its iOS 9.1 firmware. This means that those who may want to switch back to the more stable previous version of official iOS build, from the recently released iOS 9.2, will not be able to do so. To make a switch to a stable build, users who are already using the official iOS 9.2 will need to wait for the jailbreak version in order to enjoy much more software freedom with their iPhones and iPads.
