Apple's next iOS 8.2 is slated for a Mar. 2, 2015 release date, according to the information posted on Slash Gear. The website also states that the upcoming iOS update has seen five previous developer beta releases and that the latest update will finally bring support for the company's upcoming smartwatch, which has been dubbed the iWatch.

However, even if the iOS 8.2 update is rolled out at the mentioned release date, since the iWatch will be running the platform for the very first time, it is possible that users will start running in to a myriad of technical issues from the iWatch right from the start. It is possible that these issues might see a gradual reduction when Apple releases its iOS 8.3 update, which will be released shortly after the release of its predecessor.

According to BGR, Apple has already released two betas for its iOS 8.3 operating system update so there will be a couple more betas to follow after which an official update will be ready to be released for iOS devices. While the iOS 8.2 and 8.3 will be adding a string of new features along with performance tweaks, Apple's iOS 9 update, which is expected to be showcased during the company's WWDC 2015 event, will be more focused on providing performance improvements across all iOS devices rather than adding additional features.

During the aforementioned event, Apple will be expected to make a couple of announcements, including the latest lineup of the MacBook and Macbook Pro notebooks as well as the notorious large screen iPad Pro. The company's iWatch is expected to be announced on March 9, 2015 and is expected to be running Samsung's application processor along with additional new features that will augment the iOS experience of the user.

While Apple has currently not unearthed the kind of specifications the iWatch will be possessing, Mar. 2, 2015 will be revealing a plethora of details for the upcoming wearable.
