After the recent release of the iPhone X, Apple is already dealing with backlash from customers about bugs introduced in the latest update. The iOS 11.1 was launched on Oct. 31, four days before the official launch of the iPhone X.
Despite new features for iPhone and iPad, iOS 11.1 bugs and glitches have been reported. These problems have been brought to the attention of Apple by critics and patrons.
One of the most common complaint is the effect of the updated operating system on the smartphone's battery life. The Twitter account of Apple Support have been flooded by complaints and feedback about the iOS 11.1. One user said "Hey @AppleSupport my iPhone 6s battery life is horrible since the iOS 11.1 update. Please fix ASAP with next update." Another individual Tweeted "@apple @AppleSupport iOS 11.1 has ruined my iPadAir. It is laggy, scrolling stutters, battery life is bad. Please fix this mess. # iOS111."
Another problem with the latest update is the autocorrect I bug. After typing the letter "I," it quickly autocorrects into an "a" with symbols. There is a manual solution for this problem. According to Macworld, the workaround is to add a Text Replacement function by putting "I" in the phrase box and "i" in the Shortcut box.
Apple has already released a Public Beta test for 11.2 and it comes with new features and bug fixes. There is still no official release date for the new iOS and if it addressed the battery life and autocorrect I problems. After its release on Nov. 3, the iPhone X exceeded the number of demands worldwide. Many people purchased the product despite its $999 price tag.
Several reviews indicate that the price tag is justified with the new features brought by the X edition. The iPhone X comes with new features like the facial recognition function, TrueDepth camera, and more. The smartphone also doesn't have a home button to maximize the screen.
