While Huawei has just recently released its Mate 8 flagship, rumors have already started that the China-based company will be offering global release schedules for the device, and the Mate 8 will be going to the United States soon.

Currently, the Mate 8 is only available in Huawei's home country, but the China-exclusive release may change soon.

According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the Mate 8 will be one of the flagships that Huawei hopes to carry to the international markets. It is also said to be the flagship device that the company will highlight in trying to break through the United States smartphone market, which is dominated by big-name, homegrown brands like Apple.

Aside from the Mate 8, Huawei will also reportedly launch some flagship iterations in the company's Honor brand of lineups.

GSM Arena added that indeed, Huawei already confirmed that it will try to enter the U.S. smartphone market with a vigorous campaign starting next year. Reportedly, the company will be fulfilling its campaign plans right off the bat, as early as the first quarter of 2016 via the annual Consumer Electronics Show.

The industry follower also mentioned that aside from the Honor lineups and the Mate 8, Huawei will also reportedly come out with a smartwatch for the U.S. market sometime next year.

Meanwhile, Phone Arena reported that the Mate 8's rumored U.S. launch may already be confirmed. According to the industry follower, the Mate 8 has been seen being tested by the FCC, which is a requirement for any device hoping to have a global release. The device that was tested reportedly bore the model number NXT-L09, and apparently, documentation for the tests included WiFi certification process using 5G speeds.

The Mate 8 is one of the most recent flagship offerings from Huawei, launched early this month. The iteration features Huawei's own Kirin 950 chipset, and sports a 6-0.inch IPS display.
