HTC One M9 price and availability: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon

HTC One M9 will be available in the coming weeks. HTC

HTC finally took the wraps off the HTC One M9 at its press event yesterday. Although the Taiwanese manufacturer did not announce the exact date of the smartphone's availability, it confirmed that it will be up for grabs from the top U.S. carriers (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon) as well as through various retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Best Buy Mobile specialty stores, Costco Wholesale, and Target. The Unlocked version of the HTC One M9 will also be available in the company's website, HTC.com, soon.

The price of the new smartphone was also undisclosed. However, a leak from one of the retailers revealed how much the smartphone would cost. A post from Best Buy showed that the HTC One M9 will carry a price tag of $649.99 off-contract. The retailer immediately took down the webpage, but not before tech publications were able to capture a screenshot of the post.

The handset will probably cost less under a contract when it finally becomes available for purchase sometime in spring.

The HTC One M9 boasts a 5-inch screen display with Full HD 1080p resolution, an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm clocked at 2.0 GHz, and 3 GB of RAM. It houses a 32 GB internal storage with a provision for additional storage of up to 128 GB via its microSD slot. At the back, the handset sports a 20.7-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, and in front, it has an Ultrapixel camera. It is powered by a 2840 mAh battery.

The HTC One M9 runs with Android's current 5.0 Lollipop operating system overlaced with HTC's own Sense 7 user interface with improved and smarter Home Widget that will show the apps based on the user's location.

The new HTC One resembles its predecessor except for a few changes. It will be available in four color options – gold, pink, black, and silver.
