While HTC has already showcased its Vive virtual reality systems, some fans are still expecting the company to reveal another flagship lineup at this year's Consumer Electronics Show.

However, those who are waiting for the new One M10 iteration might be disappointed, as rumors pointed out that the smartphone flagship will be a no-show at CES 2016 in favor of another big event this year.

According to The Bit Bag, there are rumors that the HTC One M10 will be released early this year. However, the rollout date for the new flagship will not be as early as January.

Instead, HTC is speculated to prefer a February showcase date for the new iteration. As a launching product, HTC is said to be preparing the One M10 for a big reveal at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which will be held from Feb. 22 to 25.

Tech Radar also supported the speculation, saying that a February release date is a plausible one, given that the current-gen One M9 was also released last year at roughly around the same time, at the MWC.

However, as the CES is still ongoing, and with HTC an active exhibitor at the event, the speculation remains unconfirmed until the Consumer Electronics Show ends on Saturday, Jan. 9.

HTC still has to come out with details on the One M10, but this did not stop speculations from coming out. According to rumors, HTC opted to build the One M10 from the ground up, making it a better phone than the One M9.

Youth Health Mag reported that speculations place the One M10 to feature a sleeker, all-metal unibody frame with ergonomic design such as curved edges and bezels, which give it a more premium look. In addition, the One M10 is also speculated to come out with other high-end features such as an improved camera, fingerprint sensor, a new processor, and bigger RAM.
