Previous speculations placed HTC to be planning an early 2016 debut for its already-expected flagship, the One M10. However, although the iteration failing to appear at the recently-concluded Consumer Electronics Show, the rumors continue to float online.

The latest off the rumor mills suggest the HTC One M10 to appear in the market by the second quarter of the year, and might even have an unveiling at this year's Mobile World Congress slated for next month.

According to MNR Daily, the latest rumors point out to HTC releasing the new flagship iteration in the second quarter this year, meaning that waiting fans can expect the One M10 before June. However, before its official release in the market, the Taiwan-based tech manufacturer plans to unveil the new flagship addition much earlier. The industry follower added that HTC will be participating in the 2016 Mobile World Congress, with the One M10 as its product showcase.

This year's MWC will be held next month, from Feb. 22-25.

According to BreatheCast, the One M10 will be one of the big hits in the premium smartphone industry for this year. According to rumors, HTC pulled out all the stops in developing the upcoming device, to make up for the dismal and lukewarm reception that its current-gen lineup, the One M9, got in its release.

In terms of specs, the One M10 will be leagues away from its predecessor. The industry follower stated that one of the possible best-selling point for the upcoming device is its improved battery performance, so that users will be able to use the One M10 longer. In addition, HTC is also rumored to integrate fast and wireless charging to the upcoming device for convenience.

Aside from a drastically improved battery life, it is also speculated that as a premium flagship, the HTC One M10 will carry the new Snapdragon 820 processor, an upgraded QHD display, and a new and improved camera assembly.
