She is the definition of a fierce woman and now it's finally Claire Underwood's time to shine in House of Cards season 6 as her husband Frank is out of the White House.
As fans will know, Kevin Spacey, who played Frank, is no longer involved in the show as a result of numerous sexual harassment allegations against him that led to him being fired last year.
As a result, the scriptwriters had to work on a brand new season 6 story that put his wife Claire, played by Robin Wright, in control of the White House instead.
The first set photos from the final season of the hit Netflix show have been released and they show a fierce and determined looking Claire.
The final season is set to air some time this year on Netflix although an exact release date has yet to be announced.
But it promises to be epic when it does finally air. The first teaser trailer for season 6 was released back in March and in it, a confident Claire can be heard saying, "We're just getting started."
The teaser, which aired during the Oscars, showed Claire behind a desk in the Oval Office and the whole vibe suggests she is relishing every moment of her newly acquired power.
It will be interesting to see how this master schemer will utilize the powers of the president all to herself without her husband Frank getting in the way.
And no doubt Wright will play the character as grippingly as she has done throughout the previous five seasons - a performance that saw her pick up a Golden Globe back in 2014, not to mention numerous Emmy nods over the years.
While Spacey may be gone, fans of the show will see the return of some familiar faces like Michael Kelly and Patricia Clarkson.
New faces joining the cast for the final season include Diane Lane, Greg Kinnear and Cody Fern. Superman fans will be familiar with Lane as Martha Kent in the DC Superman/Justice League cinematic universe. She and Kinnear will play siblings on the show but beyond that we don't know much about their roles.
