"Homeland" recently wrapped up its fifth season and fans are now looking forward to the release of the new season, considering the previous one left so many unanswered questions.

In the finale episode of season 5, Quinn (Rupert Friend) suffered from a major stroke that contributed to his brain hemorrhage. His chances of regaining back full brain function appear to be low. The big question now is if he is really alive.

The episode also brought an emotional story since it was revealed that Quinn had a letter written out for Carrie (Claire Danes), which she should read in case he dies. In the letter, Quinn mentioned how he hoped to have a normal life with Carrie finally revealed that he loved her.

According to speculations, Quinn might be alive but just in a bad shape. Other reports also stated that Quinn will reunite with Carrie and a wedding will happen soon.

However, Movie News Guide also suggested that although there might be a wedding, it won't be between Carrie and Quinn, but between Carrie and her boss, Otto (Sebastian Koch).

Carrie received a proposal from Otto, but will she or will she not accept it? The proposal was something Carrie received unexpectedly and her answer is definitely one of the things to look forward to when the show returns.

Melty also reported that Saul's (Mandy Patinkin) days in the CIA may soon be over. Carrie's mentor has had bad memories in Berlin considering he was betrayed by the woman he thought he could trust, Allison (Miranda Otto).

Melty noted that at the end of season 5, when Saul was looking over Allison's dead body, he had a stern look suggesting that there is a possibility he will finally be out of the agency soon.

All these speculations remain as is and still needs to be confirmed when "Homeland" returns for season 6. As for the release date, nothing has been set on stone, but if previous releases were to be followed, "Homeland" season 6 is expected to premiere in October.
