"Halo 5: Guardians" is still considered a fresh game, having been released late in October; but 343 Industries is already keeping fans all the more hooked to the game with the announcement on the game update.
"Guardians'" first game patch will arrive next week and will be called "Battle of Shadow and Light."
The upcoming patch will bring cool perks to the game, including new Requisition Packs (Reqs) with new weapons and armor, as well as new skins.
The new set of weapons, armors, and vehicle sets should keep a player more interested in the Xbox One exclusive game.
The highlight of the update will be the 8v8 Big Team Battles. The game will launch with four maps and each one can host a battle between two teams composed of eight players each. This mode will be great for those who have several Halo-playing friends and want to engage in vehicle battles.

Meanwhile, with the game's new Reqs, players can get access to the Woodland and Tundra-themed camouflage skins for the Warthog, Mantis, Mongoose, and Scorpion. The new update will also bring new designs for chest pieces and helmets, as well as new emblems.
Halo Waypoint stated in its website that players can expect 42 new Reqs from the game update. It's also good to note that in the infographic released, an "Ultra Rare" item has been teased, although there were no details about it. It appears that this should be one of the missions players need to accomplish within the game.
If the mystery "Ultra Rare" item is hard to find, players can still get a chance to own an item of the same category in the form of the new Shinobi armor. In addition, Halo Waypoint revealed that there will be "dozens more items to unlock, discover and utilize."
"Battle of Shadow and Light" will hit the consoles next week and will download and install automatically for "Halo 5: Guardians" players. There may be no exact date as to when the patch will start rolling out, but it doesn't matter because it's worth the wait for many gamers, and best of all — it's for free.
