GTA V Ill-Gotten Gains Update: Part 2 release date first week of July: what to expect

 Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games, through its news page, Newswire, announced the release of Ill-Gotten Gains Update: Part Two, the second installment of the Ill-Gotten Gains DLC pack for GTA V. The much-awaited half of the update is set to hit the market in the first week of July, which coincides with the rumors of a July 4 release.

The announcement came as part of a promotion for next month's console release of Welcome To Los Santos, "a genre-spanning collection of original music that debuted with GTA V on PC," as described in the newswire press release. The music collection will be available on vinyl during the DLC pack update release. Rockstar is also giving out five copies of the vinyl record, prior to the official release, to lucky winners of an event they are hosting

"Featuring a diverse array of artists from across the musical spectrum – including Earl Sweatshirt, Little Dragon, Phantogram, Freddie Gibbs, Popcaan, Killer Mike, Tunde Adebimpe and Samuel T. Herring (from Future Islands) – the music of Welcome to Los Santos first launched compliments of the 'The Lab' in-game radio station hosted by Doctor No and the Chemical Bro (aka Oh No and The Alchemist) in GTAV for PC, and will be added to all four console platforms next month as part of the ILL-GOTTEN GAINS Update: Part Two," stated the company in the newswire press release regarding the contents of the vinyl record.

The event will not require any purchases from Rockstar Games in order to qualify. It also states that the event is void in certain countries, although not specified, especially on ones where the game is prohibited. All who register must be 18 years old and older to qualify.
