In the ninth episode of "Grimm" season 5, Nick (David Giuntoli) and the cops will look into the series of murders in Portland that involved a cruel and ancient Wesen ritual.

Based on the trailer for the episode titled "Star-Crossed," victims are being hung on a cross with their eyes sealed shut. Nick, Hank (Russell Hornsby) and Wu (Reggie Lee) will have a close encounter with the serial killer while Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) is doing undercover in the middle of their investigation.

The trailer also shows clips of flashbacks between the tender moments between Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) and Nick and her new persona, Eve. The past showed how gentle and loving Juliette was, while Eve is obviously fiercer and scarier. In the episode, Eve will help in the interrogation by using her special skills. This further intensifies the war happening between Hadrian's Wall and Black Claw.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tulloch explained how Juliette turned into a strong killing machine by the Hadrian's Wall.

"When she was kidnapped by Hadrian's Wall, obviously there were tranquilizer darts, because she's still alive," the actress explained. "And Hadrian's Wall started putting two-and-two together that Juliette was an incredibly powerful Hexenbiest but didn't know how to rein it in and control it. So they almost have broken her into submission — into becoming a weapon for Hadrian's Wall."

Tulloch also revealed how powerful Juliette became when she turned into Eve.

"She can almost look at someone and their head would explode. She's incredibly powerful," the actress said. "But because of that, it's that much more important for Eve to be 100 percent in control of every situation as much as she can be, so she doesn't at any point regress into evil Juliette tendencies."

The ninth episode of "Grimm" season 5 airs on Friday, Feb. 12, on NBC.
