Polyphony Digital is all geared up to release their next entry in the popular "Gran Turismo" race car series. To let the players get a preview of the new game features of "Gran Turismo Sport," Sony Interactive Entertainment will launch a free demo period starting on Oct. 9.

As reported by Engadget, the "Gran Turismo Sport" demo will happen early next week, lasting for four days. To note, the full version of the latest race car video game will be out on Oct. 17, which is roughly a week after the 4-day demo. The game preview will allow the fans to test the new contents and gameplay features of "Gran Turismo Sport," which include the new photography mode.

"Gran Turismo Sport" will also introduce a customizable uniform for the preferred race car of the players. As per the latest game trailer, fans can also expect a new match-making system built-in which will check if the players are racing with drivers who have the same skill level.

The 4-day demo of "Gran Turismo" next week will include a campaign mode. According to Polygon, demo participants will get an actual game bonus from the campaign mode as players can earn up to $1 million after winning the race. The amount of their winnings during the demo can be transferred to the full game version once it is released.

PlayStation Plus subscribers can start pre-loading the demo version of "Gran Turismo Sport" on Oct. 7 and 8 a.m. PT. Afterwards, they can try the demo in their PlayStation 4 consoles on Oct. 9, starting at 12 a.m. For non-subscribers, the demo can be downloaded and played on Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. PT. The demo period will officially close on Oct. 12 at 8 a.m. PT.

One of the much-awaited highlights of "Gran Turismo Sport" is the PlayStation Virtual Reality (VR) support, making it the first game in the "GT" series' 20-year run to explore the VR platform. As for the upcoming demo version next week, there is no confirmation if the VR features will be available for preview.
