The much-loved high school musical series "Glee" is set to return for its sixth and final season and it may bring in a new cast.

Jane Lynch, who played the role of Principal Sue Sylvester, revealed some juicy details on the upcoming season of "Glee". She confirmed her return next season as the principal of McKinley High. However, she added that the series has some surprises in store for the fans.

"I think we're going to have some surprises about who's going to be the choir director of The Warblers and who will be the choir director of Vocal Adrenaline. I think it'll be a big surprise", Lynch told Entertainment Weekly.

Lynch also said that fans' wishes will come true next season as they will see a bunch of familiar faces coming back for the series finale. "I think we're bringing back a lot of the cast. I think it's going to be very solid and fun," she said.

The show creator Ryan Murphy also said that the New Directioners will return to their alma mater, McKinley High School, where it all started. It was initially speculated that the location for next season is in New York City where Lea Michelle is building up her career. Murphy said that the characters will pay homage to their alma mater and will trace back their roots.

Gleeks are excited to the slated big reunion of every cast that has been part of the beloved coming of age series. Murphy also confirmed that the "Glee" season 6 will be dedicated to all of the actors who have become a part of the show.

He also said that the production team reached out to all of the regulars of the show, which includes the original group of glee club members and teachers, and anyone who wants to come back. He added that everyone who wants to take part of the final season of the series is welcome.

"Glee" season 6 is set to come back at FOX in early 2015.
