Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of developers 2K Games and Rockstar Games, recently filed several trademarks, one of which is for a new IP called "Ghost Story." However, no other detail regarding this new project has been officially announced.

IGN reports that the company is known for filing trademarks of properties that they have never used, and it is likely that the "Ghost Story" title is for a project they might have in mind but is not yet in development. Take-Two Interactive has filed trademarks for titles like "GTA TV " but they have yet to use it. This could be the case for "Ghost Story."

According to the report, the company might simply be filing the trademark if they want to use the title "Ghost Story" for one of their future projects,

However, it is also possible that it may be a new IP already in development. Take-Two is speculated to be working with Rockstar Games or 2K Games for a brand new game that has yet to be officially revealed to the public. IGN points out that Take-Two also started its own program to work with indie game developers, and "Ghost Story" could be one of the new indie games coming out soon.

However, it is unlikely that Rockstar Games will be attached as the game's developer given that they recently announced and confirmed "Red Dead Redemption 2," which will launch by 2017.

"With 'Red Dead Redemption 2,' the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world," stated Rockstar Games founder Sam Houser. "We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we've learned making games," he went on to say.

Take-Two Interactive has yet to announce if "Ghost Story" is an official game or an entirely different thing.
