'Game of Thrones' season 5 spoilers: Fans upset with Bran and Hodor's absence next season

Fans were upset with the recent spoilers that Bran Stark and the gentle giant Hodor will not be back in the fifth season of "Game of Thrones".

Actor and DJ Kristian Nairn revealed that his beloved character will not be seen next season. "We're not actually in season five, by the way. We have a season off. We have a year's hiatus ... Solely because, I imagine, our storyline is up to the end of the books," Nairn told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

The actor is currently on tour in Australia for "Rave of Thrones". Since he has a year off, the actor plans to extend his DJ tour, which will be ending on Sept. 7.

Meanwhile, Winter Is Coming unearthed an interview of young actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright with On Demand Entertainment confirming that he has work for "Game of Thrones". This suggested that his character will appear next season without his best buddy, Hodor.

Although Bran and Hodor are still present in the books of author George R.R. Martin, they are given less priority and less exposure as the small screen adaptation focuses on other characters. Moreover, HBO once claimed that they do not follow the books exactly as it is.

On the other hand, the production of the fifth season is currently underway in Europe; however, it was briefly halted as the production crew was unable to get a permit to shoot one of the crucial scenes next season. Latest updates claimed that the production team was given a go signal to film the controversial scene.

One of the defining moments that are highly anticipated on the return of "Game of Thrones" is the walk of shame of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). Cersei will be punished and she will be made to walk from the Great Sept of Baelor to the Red Keep stripped naked.
