Samsung will soon launch a new device and those who are considering getting a new phone this year can look forward to the release of the new Galaxy S7.

In a teaser video released late last month, Samsung Mobile confirmed the launch of "The Next Galaxy" in the lineup to take place on Feb. 21. Until Samsung makes the official release, details about the specs, features, design, and pricing of the device are based on speculations and rumors.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is said to feature a 5.1-inch display and boasts of a design similar to its predecessor, Galaxy S6. Leaks also suggest that there's not much difference between the two when it comes to appearance

Specs & Features

The Galaxy S7's rumored features are piling up. The latest rumor suggests that the device will have a water-resistant feature that will protect the powerhouse when the device accidentally falls into the pool for a quick dip.

Phone Arena also put together a list of features that are expected to be found in Galaxy S7. They include fingerprint scanners, USB-Type C ports, Always On display, metallic frame, and an external memory card support. The publication also gathered that a Chinese rumor claimed that S7 will have a cooling technology providing a better battery life.

Under the hood, Galaxy S7 is speculated to come in two options: one powered by an Exynos chip and the other by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, according to TechRadar.

The camera is said to downgrade to a 12-megapixel resolution, according to a tipster on Weibo.

Pricing Details

Pricing for Galaxy S7 has not been revealed but according to several reports, fans should expect that the smartphone will be expensive. A much cheaper member of the Galaxy S lineup would be great, but it is unlikely that the Galaxy S7 will have a price tag cheaper than its predecessor.

Less than a week from now, fans will know more details about Galaxy S7.
