'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2 spoilers, premiere date news: Survivors face more threats on water when show returns in April

 AMC Official

It was already established that when "Fear the Walking Dead" returns for its second season, the survivors will find refuge aboard Victor Strand's (Colman Domingo) yacht. However, the real question is, will all of them be safe from walkers?

Based on the season 2 teaser from AMC, they won't be. The network already released the brief trailer for the upcoming season, which only lasts for 10 seconds, but it tells so much about what's to come.

Series creator Robert Kirkman had previously confirmed that zombies can't swim, so it's easy to assume that the survivors will be better off on shore. However, the trailer reveals that the group is still on the lookout for possible dangers lurking beneath the waters.

At one point in the trailer, a group of people (still remains uncertain if they are walkers or other survivors) was floating out on sea. Surprisingly, a walker was also spotted under water and it won't be great news for those aboard the yacht.

The first teaser was also released a week ago by SpoilerTV and at the end of the clip, the shadow of a flying airplane is seen on the waters. Does this indicate that there's a possible tie-in for season 2 and "Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462" as previously speculated?

If indeed there's a tie-in of the two shows, does it mean that the people found floating on sea are actually survivors from a plane crash?

It is already expected that there will be more water action in the new season, but will all the survivors make it out alive by being off-shore? Or will they realize that the threats out in sea are far worse than what they can handle?

These questions will soon be answered when "Fear the Walking Dead" returns with a brand new season on AMC on April 10 at 9 p.m. EST.
