AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 recently added a new face, Daniel Zovatto, to the show. Now, another one has joined the team.

Deadline reported last Friday that Arturo Del Puerto of "Ride Along 2" has join the zombie-themed series for a recurring role. The report went on to mention that Del Puerto will play Carlos, who has a "spiritual understanding of the world."

Although described as a spiritual being, MNR Daily notes that Carlos will not be readily open to strangers. Since he is also guarded, he is expected to be hesitant when it comes to letting people know more about him.

Some people may not be familiar with Del Puerto, but he has appeared as a guest star in some of the popular TV series, including "NCIS," "CSI" and "Rizzoli & Isles."

Del Puerto joins the previously announced newbie, Zovatto, who also landed a recurring role in the AMC series. Melty reported that the young actor's filmography is short and that having landed a part in the popular series should help his career in the entertainment industry. Zovatto appeared in "Revenge" and "Agents of SHIELD."

So far, details about his character have been kept under wraps, so there's not much to tell about him.

The addition of two new characters only gives audiences the hint that "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will be about stories of new characters who are facing the same struggle of surviving the zombie apocalypse.

As already established, season 2 will focus more on life at sea, with survivors seeking refuge on a yacht. However, the offshore plotline is speculated not to last for a long time because of the introduction of new characters — unless Carlos is a pirate, CinemaBlend noted.

As for Zovatto, Melty speculated that he may be someone the group meets if they dock permanently pretty soon.

Answers should be revealed once "Fear the Walking Dead" returns to AMC on Apr. 10.
