The Denver Broncos will go on the road in Week 5 of the NFL 2015 regular season to face the Oakland Raiders in the hopes of maintaining their perfect start to the season. The Broncos enter the game on 4-0, but the Raiders will be hoping they can claim a home win at the O.co Coliseum in Oakland, California to move into a positive record territory. The Broncos enter the second quarter of the regular season with their perfect record still intact. They have not blown away opposition in the same way as some previous years, but have still managed to come away with wins in every game.
Last week they successfully navigated their way past a strong Minnesota Vikings team, and managed to overcome the threat from Adrian Peterson's running game.
This week they go on their annual trip to California to face the Raiders, who themselves are coming into this game after a disappointing loss to the Chicago Bears to fall to 2-2.
The Raiders will see today's game as a must win if they are to really have much hope of competing for the postseason, as falling to 2-3 would surely give them too much to do.
However, the Broncos will be confident of winning today, and Denver has not lost a game in Oakland for over four years. In addition they have won the last seven face-offs between these two teams by an average score of 37-15. So things have not even been close in recent years, and the Raiders will have to put on a much better performance if they are to pull off a surprise win today.
Earlier this week on Thursday Night Football, the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans faced off with the Colts claiming a hard earned 27-20 victory.
The story of the night was Andre Johnson, who caught two touchdown passes against his former team to secure the win for the Colts.
Johnson of course spent 12 seasons in the NFL with the Texans before being released by Houston earlier this year in March. Johnson finished the the game with six catches for 77 yards, and ultimately proved the difference between the teams.
The victory meant that the Colts have won a record breaking 16 consecutive AFC South games, the longest such streak in the NFL.
The Colts claimed the win despite losing star quarterback Andrew Luck to injury for the second game in a row. He was replaced by 40 year old veteran Matt Hasselbeck, who was also thought not to be in perfect fitness after missing training just two days before on Tuesday.
