"Deadly Premonition" and "D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die" creator Hidetaka "Swery" Suehiro revealed that he is working on a new game, titled "The Missing," to release this year.

In a YouTube video published on Feb. 16, Swery announced that he and his studio, White Owls, are working together with Arc System Works to create the upcoming game. Swery started with his announcement in a voice-over that said: "The title, 'The Missing,' has many meanings. A missing person, someone who's lost, or even something lost... Maybe it's your loved one... or a place you belong. Do you ever feel lost in your everyday life? 'The Missing' is for someone like you." He then revealed that this is the first game developed "in-house" at White Owls and thanked Arc System Works for giving him the "opportunity to create something entirely new.".

Swery did not give further details about the upcoming game. However, he did assure his fans that the game will "blow" their minds.

2018 will be a busy year for Swery. On Feb. 7, he announced that his other game, "The Good Life" will launch a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter on March 26 (PST). The game launched a Fig crowdfunding campaign in September 2017 but failed to reach its goal.

Arc System Works, on the other hand, is a Japanese fighting game developer and specialist. The company is known for successfully released arcade two-dimension (2D) fighting games that include "Guilty Gear" series and the "BlazBlue" franchise. Arcade System Works is also currently developing an upcoming "Dragon Ball Fighter Z" fighting game.
