'Bones' season 10 cast spoilers: Booth to get annoying protégé

Booth's world has totally turned upside down and he will be trying to unravel the mystery behind who set him up and the conspiracy theory that's going on. While he's busy doing all these, and getting himself out of prison, a young apprentice will join him.

In the season 10 of "Bones," David Boreanaz's character, Booth, will have a protégé. According to TV Line, the protégé is "charming, charismatic and politically ambitious," which Booth finds annoying and he will try to bring his protégé's mindset back to reality.

TV Line asked Amelia Ausiello to give some teasers on the new character, and her answer was lengthy and very informative. "Get ready for a mini-Booth in Season 10! Nope, Christine isn't getting a little brother; Booth is getting a protégé," she says.

Ausiello added, "His name is James Aubrey and he's an FBI newbie who works as a junior agent under Booth. The casting notice describes the twentysomething hottie as "charming, charismatic, politically ambitious," a guy who "views everything as a stepping stone to something better — head of the FBI or even President of the United States."

When James Aubrey will debut in the 10th season is unknown, but it looks like he will be there in the beginning. He will probably be there to help Booth deal with the traumatic events of last season's finale. It can be recalled that Booth was arrested for killing three Delta Force members and sent to jail. He was also shot.

Season 10 will pick up three months after the events of the season finale, which also means Booth has been in jail for the same amount of time.

"Bones" Season 10 will return this fall, in a new time slot—Thursdays, 8 p.m.
