"Better Call Saul" season 3 will continue to deal with the actions made by Chuck (Michael McKeen) in the season 2 finale, where he made a recording of Jimmy's (Bob Odenkirk) admission that he tampered with their case, and this is speculated to cause Jimmy to finally take on the identity of Saul Goodman.

Fans of the "Breaking Bad" series, of which "Better Call Saul" serves as a quasi-prequel, know that Jimmy no longer uses his real name and instead uses the name Saul Goodman, a nickname he had used back in Chicago. As Saul, he no longer worked as an honest lawyer and worked primarily as a defense lawyer for criminals, including Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and Gustavo Fring (Giancarlo Esposito).

As noted by Game N Guide, Chuck's choice to betray his own brother may stop Jimmy from approaching the law from the legal angle, and he may stop his current career of catering to the elderly. It is widely speculated that Jimmy will leave Chuck or that Chuck may even be killed off, forcing Jimmy to transform into the Saul Goodman who fans have known in "Breaking Bad."

Odenkirk did confirm during his appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that the episode titles for "Better Call Saul" season 2 teased the upcoming appearance of Fring for season 3.

Because of this, Jimmy may also be taking his Saul Goodman identity in order to protect his real name and Chuck's reputation. By the time the events of "Breaking Bad" happen, Saul and Fring are already well acquainted, and Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) no longer works with Saul but with Fring as the latter's head of security.

Despite the rumors, AMC and series creators Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan have yet to confirm if Chuck's actions and the introduction of Gus Fring in Jimmy's life will indeed lead to him becoming Saul Goodman.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 is expected to premiere in early 2017.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
