After pushing back the release date to next year, fans of the Caped Crusader now know when they can finally get their hands on the last installment of the Arkham series. Warner Bros. announced that the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC editions of "Batman: Arkham Knight" will be out in the market on June 2, 2015.
It was initially reported that the game will be released on Oct. 14 this year, but Warner Bros. Entertainment would want to give more time to the game's developer to make a perfect conclusion to the Arkham trilogy.
Rocksteady developed all the Batman games, including the "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and its sequel, "Batman: Arkham City."
Both the PS4 and the Xbox One editions will be sold for $200, and it will include limited edition one-of-a-kind SteelBook items like case and game disc, a limited edition character skin pack with three unique skins that comes from DC Comics, an exclusive copy of the DC Comics "Batman: Arkham Knight #0" comic book, an 80-page full-color art book that features the game's concept art, as well as the well-detailed and fully transformable Batmobile replica made by TriForce.
On the other hand, the $100 PC edition also comes with the 80-page art book, the SteelBook set, the exclusive comic book, as well as the limited edition character skin pack. However, this edition includes a Batman Memorial statue instead of a Batmobile.
Warner Bros. also confirmed the lineup of Bruce Wayne's antagonists in this game. The roster of villains includes the Riddler, Two-Face, and Penguin. It is also reported that Harley Quinn will be seen in the upcoming game.
Several game watchers believe that the delay in Arkham Knight's release date could be beneficial to the game, since a lot of big titles are expected to come out this fall. It includes Activision's "Destiny" as well as the next installments for the "Assassin's Creed" and "Call of Duty" series.
