The story of "Bates Motel" is starting to reach that point where it will meld into the events of the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock film "Psycho," and as shown in the synopsis for season 4 episode 4 by TV Guide, it appears that Norman (Freedie Highmore) will once again be on the move to kill someone without him even being aware of it.

According to the synopsis, Norman will be going on an adventure with a new friend of his, although it has not been specifically mentioned if this new friend comes from the mental institution he was held in or if it is another resident of White Pine Bay.

Seeing how Norman Bates has killed before, particularly women sexually involved with him, Norman may end up killing this new friend the moment they get intimate and are far from the public eye. Norman has been seeing hallucinations of his mother more frequently in season 4 and these hallucinations may lead to the death of his new acquaintance.

Norma (Vera Farmiga), on the other hand, will be having some time off after experiencing so much stress in the past few weeks. According to the synopsis, she will be able to have some fun at the White Pine Bay festival, although it is unclear if she will be going there with her new husband, Sheriff Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell).

It is pointed out in the synopsis that Romero will be placed in an awkward position and this may be in relation to Norma, particularly if they attend the festival together where there is bound to be someone who is going to ask questions regarding their relationship.

Dylan (Max Thieriot) will be caught once again in a new conflict as he has to make a decision between two families standing on opposite ends of an argument.

"Bates Motel" season 4 episode 4 will air this March 28.
