Ubisoft launched the fourth patch for "Assassin's Creed Unity" last week, but players might have missed it because of the extensive connectivity issues as well as the holiday rush. But the recent patch aims to address all the issues that the previous patches overlooked.

One of the problems addressed by the "Assassin's Creed Unity" patch 4 is the problem encountered by PC players wherein the entire 40 GB game was downloaded instead of the 6.7 GB patch. It means that the new patch can be downloaded properly this time.

Also, the newest patch for this installment of the popular "Assassin's Creed" franchise improves the game's stability, online matchmaking issues, as well as the glitches in the gameplay. It also aims to improve the frame rate issues of the game by updating and replacing some parts of the city map of Paris where the game is set.

Because of the new bug fixes, the data size of the patch is bigger compared to the earlier versions. It also has some portions that aim to replace the other files that were already downloaded.

Meanwhile, the game developer also announced that they had to stop the operations of AC Initiates momentarily because of the ongoing maintenance phase. The web-based companion of the game had to be stopped because of the company's periodic maintenance procedures. However, it does not mean that the game will not be able to unlock the golden initiate chests that are located all around Paris.

The news was announced by community manager Escoblades in one of the forums of "Assassin's Creed," saying, "We have taken the decision to place AC Initiates in a continued state of maintenance during the holiday period. The reasoning for this is to minimize the effect from outages to your experience during this time, as well as to allow us work on ensuring the technical stability of the platform."

No confirmation about any details has been given just yet.
