Argentina and Switzerland will play one another in the seventh of eight Last 16 games taking place this week in the 2014 World Cup from Brazil. Lionel Messi has been in amazing goal-scoring form recently for Argentina, and he will be the biggest challenge Switzerland have in taking down the South American team today.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 12 p.m. EST, and will be broadcast on the ESPN network. The game can also be watched online through live streaming – free for subscribers – via the link provided below.

In their last six Second Round games, Argentina have emerged victorious five times. Their only recent stumble at this stage of the World Cup was in 1994 when they lost 2-3 to Romania.

However, they have a very powerful team this season, and are among the top favorites for the title this year.

Lionel Messi has scored an amazing 24 times in his last 23 games for Argentina, and even in games where he has been quiet, he has been able to turn a game on its head in seconds with a burst of skill.

If Messi scores today he will become the first Argentine to score in four successive World Cup matches since Guillermo Stabile at the inaugural tournament in 1930.

He is Argentina's good luck omen as well; in his last 24 games for his country, Argentina are unbeaten, having won 17 and drawn 7 of those games. Argentina will be hoping he can continue his amazing goal-scoring run and can lead them to the win to get through to the Last 8.
