Apple Watch 2 release date rumor: New Apple wearable to be seen by March?

The new Nightstand feature of Apple WatchOS 2. According to rumors, the next-gen wearable from Apple will already feature the new platform right out of the box.

According to rumors, Apple is already in the planning stages for a press event in March, apparently to start introducing the Cupertino-based company's lineups for 2016. Speculations add that one of the very first products that will be showcased is the second-gen Apple Watch.

In a report by MacWorld, it is mentioned that observers expect the new wearable to appear early this year. According to rumors, Apple will hold an event in March and the Apple Watch 2 will be one of the new products that the Cupertino-based company will reportedly unveil.

In addition to the second-gen wearable, Apple is also expected to showcase other lineup iterations such as an addition to the iPhone 6 lineup, the 4-inch iPhone 6c, and very possibly, the iPad Air 3.

Rumors of a new Apple Watch began circulating late last year, when Apple highlighted a new WatchOS 2 at one of its annual events. Meanwhile, since Apple is not in the habit of dishing out details of its lineups prior to their releases, speculations about the new Apple Watch continue to float.

According to Tech Times, aside from having the new WatchOS 2 right ouf of the box, the Apple Watch 2 will also be better than the original. The industry follower said that the upcoming wearable will be smarter than its predecessor and, with the leap in current wearable tech, will have more options and sensors that will add new features for Apple Watch 2 users.

Meanwhile, should the March unveiling of the Apple Watch 2 happen, will Apple fans expect a yearly release of an Apple wearable? According to Know Your Mobile, if Apple plans to release limited edition versions of its wearable, one thing that would work toward its value would be how infrequent the company's succeeding Apple Watch will be.
