'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 4 spoilers: AIDA's plans revealed

Things are just about to get more difficult for the Agents after they escaped the Framework. With AIDA (Mallory Jansen) still looming over, what more can fans expect from the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D?"

The agents just escaped the Framework and yet, more problems are still at hand with AIDA still on the loose. The character is said to have a master plan yet to be executed, but what is it?

If fans of the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." could still remember, after getting a physical body; AIDA hoped to continue her relationship with Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker). However, Fitz decided to reject her in the end, causing the powerful former Life Model Decoy to go berserk. This eventually led into a revenge plot that targeted everyone.

The first part of AIDA's plan was to put agents into the alternative reality of the Framework. She wanted the agents to spend the rest of their lives inside. After that, she did not elaborate on about what she's planning to do next. Because of this, many fans are speculating about the other half of her master plan.

To answer some of these questions, Elizabeth Henstridge who plays Agent Jemma Simmons shared some hints about AIDA's master plan to Entertainment Weekly, saying, "We've seen what the Framework looks like and now AIDA's trying to recreate that in the real world. We know what happens though, we know the oppression, we know the kids whose classrooms get blown up. The stakes are huge. You've got two sides that are willing to risk everything and the consequences to not winning are diabolical."

AIDA's plan to turn the world to alternative reality might be traced to her desire for control. In the episode, "The Return," the character showed this desire to control others in the Framework. If she can gain control of others, this will mean that she too can control Fitz and make him love her again.

There are still more things to happen in the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." this season. Yo-Yo Rodriguez (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) and Al MacKenzie (Henry Simmons) is still inside the Framework, Ghost ride is back, and AIDA's master plan is still yet to be revealed.

The season finale: "World's end" will premiere on Tuesday, May 16, at 9:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.
