Volition Software dropped a new trailer for "Agents of Mayhem" to introduce the first three agents to join the team.

The trailer presents the three members of the group called "Franchise Force," which is composed of playable characters named Hardtack, Fortune, and Hollywood.

In the beginning of the trailer, the director of Mayhem introduces the characters one by one. She first talks about the former actor named Hollywood, who claims he is the face of the superhero agency. Based on the trailer, Hollywood's gameplay could be classified as a third-person shooter style because he uses an assault rifle and other explosives to defeat his enemies.

Then the Mayhem director talks about the former pirate named Fortune, who uses a drone and her twin laser pistols during her fights. The agency director reveals they can use Fortune's experience as a thief to break into different places.

Finally, the director talks about the large, bulky character named Hardtack. He seems to be an expert in blowing up different items using his explosive grenade launcher.

Together, the three characters will be known as the Franchise Force. They can work together to be able to defeat the League of Evil Gentlemen Intent On Obliterating Nations, also known as the LEGION.

Aside from the members of the Franchise Force, players can also opt to choose among the other playable characters of the game, including the Indian immunologist named Rama, the classic "Saints Row" character Pierce Washington, who will be known in the upcoming game as Kingpin, as well as other characters like Oni, Yeti, Daisy, Scheherazade, Braddock, Red Card, and Joule.

Players have to choose three agents that they can switch freely during the game. They must pick the right combination of agents that will suit their playing style.

"Agents of Mayhem" is expected to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Aug. 15 in the U.S. and Aug. 18 in the EU markets.
