Xbox Games with Gold June 2016 list gets two new titles, including 'XCOM'

 Xbox Wire

Since the middle of the month is already here, the game list for the monthly Xbox Games with Gold program changes once again.

"Super Meatboy" is now off the list, since the game is revealed to be only available from June 1 to June 15. However, there are two new games that will be available for Xbox One players, since the classic "XCOM: Enemy Unknown," although available for the Xbox 360, can also be downloaded and played by Xbox One owners via the backwards compatibility program. Aside from the classic strategy game, fans can now also download "The Crew."

"XCOM: Enemy Unknown" is up for grabs from June 16 to June 30, while "The Crew" is available for download from June 16-July 15. The latter will replace "Costume Quest 2," which is a leftover from the May list for the Xbox One Games with Gold (listed from May 16 to June15).

According to The Bitbag, having "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" as one of the titles is good timing for Microsoft. Reportedly, the classic's sequel, "XCOM 2," is revealed to be coming out for consoles soon. However, only Xbox One players are lucky enough to get the set in their game library, since the PlayStation 4 has no backwards compatibility feature.

Aside from having the games list changed, Xbox and Microsoft have also updated the Deals with Gold program. In the U.K., the discount list for the program includes some franchise favorites on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Players can get discounted prices for some choice titles in series like "Battlefield," "Forza," and "The Elder Scrolls Online." The Xbox 360 also has a selection of good games up for discounts, like the two recent "Crysis" releases, and "Tekken Tag Tournament 2."

The Deals with Gold list is expected to change once again on June 20.
